I traveled a lot in the 70s and 80s; I went to London for business reasons, as a pit stop for other destinations, or just because I loved the city.

I looked through the hotel brochures for traditional pubs and did my "pub crawling; a very dear friend of mine lived in London and, knowing that I liked traditional restaurants and bars, he also took me to some.
