In Pitangueiras if the moon is full…

Healthy people, tanned,

Tall, slender young men and women,

Graceful girls, purebred fillies

Proud

Of their pert tits,

Or not;

Athletic boys, Apollonian build,

Dionysiac…

Preppy, not so much, and much less,

Mixed without prejudice;

cheerful people,

Alacra walks.

Boyfriends dream of what they don’t know;

These, enraptured, make a kiss,

She, lips half-open waiting

The honey they will exchange,

The promise

Which may come…

Old people like me

Alone or in pairs

Walk,

Sip up the sound of waves

From the sea,

The enchant that this moon

So many others bring us

Saved in memory

That now

Bloom.

Big and little puppies

Take their owners a walk,

Like Totty,

My old Schnauser,

Takes me.

From the long boardwalk

On the banks

A lot of people enjoy

The cool night of almost autumn

In general silent families

In contemplation.

Others in noisy enjoyments

Groups of healthy young people

They in their chats just for them,

Beer or Coca Cola,

Almost no cigarettes

Many with a guitar, maybe drums…

And there are the lonely ones,

Sitting back to the world

Facing, towards

To the waves, to the sea that ends

In distant, also marine,

Dark blue horizon

Inwardly

Brooding over, thinking a lot,

Or nothing.

There’s football, there’s volleyball in the sand,

Shouting, joy,

Poor people, rich people,

With claw still

After sun and sea

Suntanned

After work

Loading, arming,

Tents, umbrellas,

Distributing

Drinks and snacks;

After so hard effort,

I don’t know where so sweaty,

From the same sun, same heat,

Of which do I use and sip on.

Couples, lots of couples,

They walk their babies in strollers,

This one with twins!

A profusion of more young people

Which, with great luck,

May, like their parents –

Relaxed it seems –,

So one day enjoy

In harmony,

Other floods

Rich harvests,

And full moons.

in Pitangueiras

Moon, sun, with or without rain,

On the boardwalk, in the streets,

All are happy, smile,

Wish each other good morning,

Goodnight,

Have a good trip.

Many frowns, grumpy,

Coarse

There are also; even though,

“Too few to mention”.

I look, I hear, I think I see,

A multitude of unique things

Each and one

Personality, person,

Consciousness, feelings,

Who enchants with themselves

With their own unique

Thoughts,

Or belly buttons.

Pitangueiras,

Its charms, its beauty, its secrets

Natives and longtime residents

Will tell whoever comes and wants to.

Come!
