A beautiful and touching poem, Lin, I perfectly understand the message and feeling

that you describe.

"Here I am

In a small town,

In the middle of nowhere".

I'm not just in a small town in the middle of nowhere; I live in a small town perched in the mountains, far from others, far from almost everything. With a ridiculously small population, the gas stations, unlike the ones over there, are meeting points... everyone knows each other.

I've driven a lot across my vast country, and for many others; the areas, which you so well describe, were never for me more than a stop to rest my legs, stretch my body, eat something, drink a coffee, and smoke a cigarette.

Here, where I am none other than myself, where I find

myself, it's in the backroom of my house, where my "home office", "convenience store" and "bar" are located.

Yes, you are right! It's wonderful to be able to have these moments of anonymity, in this case with good company: mine alone.

Thank you for having lighted a sentence of mine, and particularly for following me: it's an honour for me.
